Here's some biographical info on Lawrence (known as Larry G. to his friends):

Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania (USA) the son of Harold Solomon Goldman an amateur opera singer who sang in South Philadelphia High School along with fellow classmate and soon to be film legend, Mario Lanza. Larry was originally trained in elementary school on violin by a member of the famed Philadelphia Orchestra's violin section, switching to guitar and choir in junior high school and eventually settling on bass guitar.

After years of professional appearances with many bands while attending DImner Beeber Junior High School in the Wynnefield section of West Philadelphia and then through Central High School in the Olney section of North Philadelphia, Larry was awarded a congressional scholarship to Temple University. While studying there he performed frequently with several bands including Free Flight who appeared with famed ex-Beatle John Lennon in the Helping Hand Charity Tour shortly before his untimely death. Among one of the memorable moments was performing with Willie Williams (sax) and Cornell Rochester (drums) in a modern jazz power trio opening up for Jaco Pastorious' World of Mouth Band.

During those college years he also studied privately with several teachers including: Tyrone Brown (bassist with Max Roach), Jymmie Merrit (bassist with the original Art Blakey and the Jazz Messengers and later with trumpeter, Lee Morgan), Allan Slutsky (aka Dr. Licks who produced the Grammy Award winning documentary on the Funk Brothers, "Standing in the Shadows of Motown"), Al Stauffer (a well known teacher of improvisation and bassist for the french pianist Bernard Pieffer) and others.

Larry also attended continuing education programs at Philadelphia College of The Performing Arts (under the Jazz Band direction of the very successful composer of television music, John Davis). He also studied traditional orchestral bass at the Combs College of Music in Germantown, PA.

Shortly thereafter, Larry moved to Los Angeles where he began teaching at the Yamaha School of Music in Arcadia, CA. He then wrote several bass transcription books for Hal Leonard Publishing including: Buddy Holly's Greatest Hits, Pink Floyd's Greatest Hits, Eric Clapton's Greatest Hits, as well as other similar books featuring the music of WInger, Bonham, Ingwe Malmsteen and also the group, Living Color. Larry also contributed his transcription talents for the award winning book, James Jamerson (Standing in the Shadows of Motown) as well as engineering and producing some of the play along tracks including his own performance of the bass line to "You Don't Have To Be A Star" by Marilyn MaCoo and Billy Davis Jr.

Since arriving in CA, Larry has performed and arranged for several Latin bands. His love of the genre's styles include working with various ensembles over the years performing Salsa, Brazilian, Latin Rock, Latin Pop and Flamenco Rumba music. He has also written, arranged and produced the music for several national ads featuring such artists as Celia Cruz, Vikki Carr, Cybill Shepherd, Barbara Morrison and Maya Angelou.

He has co-led the latin band, Bandidos De Amor for the past several years producing, arranging and performing their music for concert and film appearances.Their songs have been licensed and performed in the Dreamworks Film's "Paulie" (featuring Gena Rowlands, Cheech Marin, Tia Texada, Tony Shalboub and Jay Mohr), "The Mexican" (featuring Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt), "Collateral" (featuring Tom Cruise and Jamie Fox) as well as the Warner Bros. film "Two Weeks Notice" (featuring Sandra Bullock and Hugh Grant).

As a co-writer in the music team of Goldman-Adams music, with partner Tom Adams, he has co-wrote the orchestral underscore for the Universal film 'Happy Gilmore' featuring comedian Adam Sandler. They have also composed music for NBC (e.g. World's Greatest Magic Show I & II), FOX (e.g. Bonnie & Clyde), FOX Children's Network (e.g. SABAN cartoons), The History Channel (e.g. Modern Marvels) as well as music for animated cartoons (e.g. Hanna Barbera's Dumb and Dumber) and TV and Radio ads (e.g. Free Credit Report dot com).

Here's some biographical info on Tom Adams:

Tom Adams was originally from New Jersey on the eastern seaboard of the US. From a family whose roots date back to the beginning of the Americas he has inherited a rich tradition of music. Many of his kin folk are musicians and Tom was brought up performing on piano and organ as well as trumpet and flugelhorn. The generation bringing Tom up were steeply influenced by the Big Band era of the 30's and 40's which still has a profound influence on Tom to this day. He played in many bands during his younger years and continues to perform live to this day. He has also blossomed into a very fine composer, vocal and instrumental arranger as well as conducter. Another one of Tom's many talents is as an exceptional singer.

After leaving New Jersey to join Bette Midler for her, "De Tour" and several television specials (HBO and Cinemax) in 1983, he moved to the Los Angeles area and established himself there working with many groups including: Pocket Change, Ernestine Anderson, Cybill Shepherd, Kevin Eubanks and the Tonight Show Band, Anita O'day, Coolio, Jewel, Keeley Smith, Linda Hopkins, Mel Torme, Ritchie Cole, etc.

He has written music for several televison shows including: "Doug" (Disney) as a member of Dan Sawyer's music team, "World's Greatest Magic" (NBC), , "Popeye" (Turner), "Cybill" (CBS), "Dumb & Dumber" (Hanna Barbera) and others. Tom has scored the music for the Universal Pictures "Happy Gilmore" (featuring Adam Sandler) with Larry G. Goldman and Mark Motherbaugh, and the Leslie King film, "One of the Oldest Con Games" (featuring Fionnula Flanagan).

Among Tom's credits in the recording industry world, he has written music for Enestine Anderson's Top Ten Grammy-Nominated Release "Now and Then" (Quest Records), several songs for Cybill Shepherd's "Talk Memphis To Me" and "At Home With Cybill Shepherd" (Riversiren Records) and others.

Tom has also composed, produced and arranged music for the Klasky-Csupo commercials: "FreeCreditReport.com" (Echo Award Winner), "Dawn Go n'Glo", "Children's Medical Center" and "Mentos Mints".

Tom has been recognized by the IAJE for 'Outstanding Service to Jazz Education". He has appeared a number of times on Jay Leno's Tonight Show either as an instrumentalist in the band or a vocalist. His vocal tracks have also been used on the HBO reality show, "The Ozzy Ozbourne Show". Working as the musical director for Cybill Shepherd, Tom has also appeared on The Opreh Winfrey Show, The Jane Pauley Show, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, A&E Biography, Lifetime's Intimate Portrait, and Celebrity Profile on E!
